2008 Volvo C30
Volvo announced pricing for the upcoming C30.
The sporty hatchback will start at a retail price of $23,395 (including destination charge) for the 1.0
and $26,395 for the better-equipped 2.0. Both versions will sport Volvo’s 227-horsepower turbocharged 5-cylinder engine when it goes on sale later this year.
The all-new C30 hatchback ushers Volvo into a size and price class in which it hasn’t competed for decades.
Slick front-end styling mimics that of the S40 sedan/V50 wagon
the rear end carries styling cues from the classic Volvo P1800 ES and Safety Concept Car.
Its stylish interior includes the floating center console of the S40/V50
and the C30 shares those cars' underpinnings: a five-cylinder turbocharged engine and six-speed manual transmission.
